I decided to put this online with much else I do.
This first post will outline the background for the battle. I later hope to put the entire mini-campaign online here.
As it is now, at some time after the events of Baldur's Gate outlaws and bandits return to trouble the idyllic town of Beregost as winter progresses Officer Val dispatches a small group of adventurers to learn more. These encountered and killed several bandit groups that seemed pretty well-organised. This was confirmed as the group's camp was attacked at night, with many low-grade bandits pinning the heroes while two assassins from a reserve group of more hardcore outlaws sneaked up to try and take some of them out and herd them in the direction their harder friends were waiting. The heroes sussed this and fought their way out and back to safety, pursued by the hardest and hardiest bandits.
With no resources to spare from the patrolling and evacuation of outlying farms that has come under pressure as well, Officer Val is at a loss for how to open the way to Friendly Arm Inn and Baldur's Gate itself. Finally she decides to resort to hiring more mercenaries and adventurers and dispatches the small group to the countryside down towards Nashkeel, as the Bandits had yet to close off that route.
The group of adventurers found total of 22 freeswords willing to rally to aid Beregost while a group of Dwarves and one of Elves had meanwhile joined up with the Flaming Fist garrison of Beregost and will be dispatched with the freeswords and original group for a presumed total of 38 to try and force a way through or at the very least inflict so severe casualties on the bandits that they are forced to ease the pressure on the town a bit.
In the battle this coming Saturday, the three players will take the places of four commanders and fight the battle for The Coast Road.
Rasmus can choose to play either The Good Guys (38) or the Bad Guys' reserve force (20).
Jan can chose Good Guys (38), Bad Guys (62, lots of arrow-fodder there) or bad Guys' Reserve (20), I will take the remainder.
Beware both that the good guys are almost one long list of different characters and thus little uniformity in stats.
Please choose ASAP so I can forwards the stats, as Magic will be included familiarisation in advance will be desirable.
